About 18 months into owning my AF2435 and really loving it! Next is a fiber for me. Excellent video!

My laser keeps spinning the cups off when I hit start or frame but then slows to the speed I have set when it engraves, how do I get it to stop so it won’t mess up my engraving on cups?

Where can you get the Test Card. I am not seeing it in the down loads area. I ordered the K40+ should be here this week and want to get my Lightburn test files set up for when it comes.

What is the smallest font the machine can engrave and still be legible?

I have just installed the Omtech 4 wheel rotary and had no luck with the setup proceedures as described by several videos, all different steps. finally i gave up and contacted Omtech, the answer they gave me worked first time and is repeatable. I recognise that your machines firmware may be older than mine so things will have changed. My machine is an Omtech 50W Blue BED 300 X 500 with Ruida control, firmware version RDLC-V8.00.70 My initial steps:- Step 1 - In XY mode, home the machine to X0 Y150 (bed size is 300 x 500) Step2 - Power OFF!!! Omtech's instructions start here:- Step 3 - replace the Y cable with the Rotary Cable. Step 4 - Power ON and wait!!! The rotary machine tries to HOME, this is OK, DO NOT stop the process, WAIT, it will spin in both direction slowly, i assume to search for HOME, then it spins fast and Zeroes the Y and keeps the X setting. for me it is 150. There is no need to disable the XY homing tabs, as has been mentioned in other videos, this defeats the purpose and is against Omtech's instructions. I use Lightburn as my interface, now I install the Rotary settings that I have previously saved and adjust the Rotary setup as necessary. When I am finished with the Rotary and before i power off, I reinstall the default XY settings from my saved file and shut down. When I next power up the machine resets to the default XY position. It is important to save the default settings before you do anything to that file. I saved the Default file to my desktop .. I load a modified file for the rotary, when i need it, that i have also saved to my desktop. I hope this helps others as i know this can be frustrating.

Do you put any liquid to the magic eraser?

I am having about a 50% failure rate with this product and Cermark. 100w laser running 300mms/50% power. half the parts some portion wipes right off. the next part will be fine. Next one some wipes off. very frustrating and expensive as the parts I am doing are costly and ruined. I am carefully cleaning before spraying. Any advise?

That’s wild I do 350mm/sec at 10% power on my 60 watt. I wonder why you need to use nearly twice the power and way slower than mine.

What happened to the "up to 1000mms engraving speeds"? 36% faster isn't much

Assuming the new tech works as well as old, and isn't encumbered by ridiculous DRM or needing an internet connection like the buttheads st Glowforge, this looks awesome. That said, you'll have to fight to ever let me get rid of my old couple year old 60W from them. During those horrid lockdowns, prototyping stuff with my laser really kept me going. Also, tech support was absolutely amazing. I only needed a little thing and they were super awesome and got it to me within a week. There was a broken lock if you're curious what it was. Once I get a new house, I cannot wait to order a newer laser from them.

What is the operating voltage of the Water Sensor

honestly, the easiest to follow focusing video I have seen and the fastest. Just enough information to do it correctly and not enough to confuse the viewer.

I hope when you used that sandpaper on the stainless steel you were wet sanding with 1200, or 2000 grit paper. If you had scratches left on the piece then I'd say it was likely you had to coarse a grit.

Great video. I'm waiting on some mirrored acrylic to arrive. I did some tests on two tone (multi layered) acrylic samples. Unfortunately, you could see lines in the filled areas. Is it likely that I'm running it too slow/strong? Any suggestions would be very welcome

I just bought this machine and when I went to do the Pulse test, the laser did not work at all. We followed the setup instructions but the laser won’t pulse at all. Are we missing something?

My Omtech 70w will do nothing under 14% power. How do we do 10% power exactly?

We own an Omtech (AF2028 60watt) machine and use it for our business. Having worked with lasers for the past decade using high-end lasers (universal, epilog, trotec) along with cheaper Chinese models similar to Omtech, I can say customer service is a must. That said, every time I have had to reach out to Omtech support, I have had nothing but issues. The tech support has never had the information I needed, and it's super frustrating. How do you not have the specs on how much weight you can set inside your machine? All-in-all, the machine is a great starter machine, but if you are trying to buy one for a long-term business, I would recommend a company with better support. Although this is a negative overall review, no one ever wants to mention this and only talks about the positives. Transparency should be a must when customers are trying to buy and spend thousands of dollars regardless.

Ordered a 50W Fiber during the Memorial Day sale and is gonna be here any day now: Super excited to up my laser game!
